Welcome to “FIRST NIGHT@WOLFEBORO”
Our little community is proud to say this is the only ANNUAL First Night in the State of New Hampshire. Fourteen years of celebrating the ARTS with music, dance, storytelling, parade and fireworks! What more magical way is there to ring in the New Year? Keeping in step with the times, our lovely button states that we are “EVER GREEN” in Wolfeboro!
The First Night committee is a small group of dedicated individuals who dream about this most of the year. But to make this really happen… it takes a large segment of the population to donate a few hours, distributing buttons, churches preparing food, putting up banners and distributing luminaria… you get the picture.
Not only would we like to thank Contributors and Services-in-Kind, but the many volunteers you see checking buttons at the venues, and behind the scenes. Without you, this tradition in Wolfeboro, would not take place.
THANK YOU! To all of you, enjoy, whether it be just a few hours with the children in the afternoon, or the whole evening, revel in the arts, avail yourself of free transportation and select your food from a varied menu.
“FIRST NIGHT WOLFEBORO” is a non-profit alcohol-free event sponsored by the Governor Wentworth Arts Council and the Wolfeboro Area Chamber of Commerce which also serves as Headquarters, open until midnight for your information and help.
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Wolfeboro 2009 Theme…
“Wolfeboro Ever Green” was the winning suggestion in a fund-raising letter asking for themes. The headlines today are full of “going green”, encouraging environmentally safe practices, but it is also a fact that people arrive in our locality because Mother Nature has endowed us with so much green! On both accounts, this theme seemed appropriate for our 2009 celebration.
(Theme idea suggested by Sandy McBeth. Design created by Donna DiCasparo Excelsior Graphics.)
