Ever since CBS' Dan Rather tried to fool the electorate with his Fake-but-Accurate news article about GWB and the Texas Air National Guard.

The truth is out there, because it was bloggers who discovered these Kool-Aid hoaxes that too many (including at least three here) were willing to believe.

Further, if you have watched Leno when he does his street-walking skits you know there are a lot of wicked stupid people out there. Howard Stern just happened to find one of them and now it's supposed to be gospel?

I was walking downtown after I voted on Nov 4th and a downs syndrome women was walking towards me. As she get just beside me she said in a deep gravely voice - don't forget to vote today. It took me by surprise, at first, because I didn't expect her to speak to me but it also gave me pause that she also has the right to vote. Does she understand the issues any more then Howard Stern? Probably not, but they both have their opinions and they both have the right to vote. So it goes . . . maybe she speaks for all downs syndrome women in this country and maybe Howard Stern speak for all flaming assholes. Guess we need both to have a fair society fit for all.

I disagree, I think she is very smart. Just because she is not pompous? When she speaks she doesn't put on airs, instead talks like she is talking one on one to us, the common people. All of us REAL people don't have to measure every word we utter without having everyone pick it apart. She is STILL down to earth and I love that about her. Very unusual. But I think that makes some people think she is not smart. It's not politically correct to speak off the cuff.

DF-many places are now reporting they were duped by this fake "insider". The "insider" was the source who reported that Palin thought Africa was a country. The press failed to do any fact checking. The fake "insider" was the source for many of the worst rumors about the McCain/Palin campaign. Mother Earth Jones blogger figured it out early but almost no one else did any checking before reporting.
