Re:Burglars LOOK for Guns! 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago
Tis I fully understand your point and I agree. This generation is all about instant gratification and getting something for nothing. So when deprived, it isn't "their fault" so they look to see where they can recoup, fair or foul. I have friends here in Wolfeboro, preparing to close up their houses and worrying about what will happen when they are gone this year due to conditions. Remember we haven't hit bottom yet, lots of layoffs to come, winter heating bills are tough with no job. Charities are getting tapped out already. The Wolfeboro town welfare budget was gone in June so we must be robbing peter to pay paul in the budget now as I expect welfare costs are mounting. THis upcoming week it will be in the 30s for highs, winter is upon us!

QUOTE:
Address Gun Violence in Cities: As president, Barack Obama would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals who shouldn't have them. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent, as such weapons belong on foreign battlefields and not on our streets.

FACT: Barack Obama voted to uphold local gun bans and the criminal prosecution of people who use firearms in self-defense.5

There are many who supported him who may be in for a surprise. He has already signaled keeping troops in Iraq. He also already stepped back from closing Guantanamo. He never was a supporter of 2nd amendment. Bills he did support were so poorly worded they would have banned many guns and ammunition he claimed were not in there.

I have no reports of the economic downturn as a reason for the increase in gun sales.

Parents have complained that their kids are being over-tasked with balancing checkbooks!

What's involved? Addition and Subtraction?

We don't demand that our schools provide America's children with the skills of living as an adult; what's worse is that the skills needed for advanced education are in decline.

Even our military is now tasked with high school tutoring to bring up the 3Rs and English!

'Happens every year.

It's ironic that the "kids" who do Wolfeboro's burglaries will arrive at the scene on snowmobiles—costing thousands!

I never get your point!

What's the point of this?

And that's just one worker.

How does one incident in a modern rash of disgruntled-employee-road-rage news items—indicate any kind of workplace trend in a down-trending economy?
