I heard last night Obama said the White House will now allow smoking. I think that is pretty hypocritical unless he tells the rest of the country that non-smoking is now declared illegal.

Smoking is still allowed in private residences.

Why is that such a surprise?

What about other things you do in the privacy of your own home? Should those be disallowed too?

The White House isn't a totally private residence. He should be setting a better example by not smoking. Hard to believe this guy actually has a flaw!!!!!

I haven't seen any pictures of him with a cigarette in his mouth. But if he allows smoking in the White House (if they don't paint it black like CW claims they will), I just won't give them the pleasure of my company if I decide to visit there.

Obama is an arrogant elitist dressed in self-deprecating pseodo-humility - and he will do whatever he wants in the White House, including smoking (a great role model for his two innocent children).

I don't photoshop. Instead of bashing me, try googling: obama cigarettes. He has long admitted trying to stop. According to one article, prior to making the decision to run, he and Michelle went to Hawaii on vacation to discuss running for president. She agreed to it as long as he quit smoking. I thought I recall early on (I mean early in Dem primary race) a reporter stated Obama snuck off for a cigarette.

Personally I could care less if he smokes. I know that nicotine is very addictive and it is tough to quit smoking. WM doubted he smoked. I found the photo very easily. It was reported in many sources and widely reported. It is kind of funny everyone pushing for McCain's medical records due to age and skin cancer yet not thinking twice about Obama and throat and lung cancer due to smoking. Whatever-it is too late for that now that the election is over.

LS hit it on another thread-here is WM taking a cheap shot at me without even the least effort to check his facts. He acts childish and then rants about the way others act if they post something he does not agree with. I guess only his opinions count. Good riddance.

I could care less if he smokes either. Let's just not be hypocritical. Let's be tolerant dnf, let's ignore wm's comments we don't like. I laugh at a lot of his posts. I think he is a bit like CW, he just likes to stir the pot. Maybe I am wrong, maybe he can dish it out but can't take it. Maybe he is always serious. However, I KNOW CW loves to stir up trouble, right CW? Or will you admit it?
