This used to be a nice forum with discussions on local issues by a bunch of friendly people. Now it has turned into a mud slinging, insulting and disgusting political forum with lots of personal attacks.

I don't think I want to continue being involved with people like that. The level of intelligence and respect here has gone the way of the Dodo bird and I will not lower my standard to this level.

I do think we need to get back to more local issues, wildman. It has been all about the presidential race and it is getting very old! Why don't you start a new thread with a new subject, like who is going to run for selectman, maybe about the town hall, maybe about the new library. Or how about Tuftonboro, wildman, how about the new library there, or the new PW building. You must have some good ideas.

Good suggestion, Tis. But let's not forget that a lot of the people "disgusted" by the mudslinging and personal attacks were the ones making them. I'm finding this sudden attack of morality pretty funny.

When faced with mounting evidence of a terrible Presidential choice in a national election, we can expect "serial quitters" to return when the suitable topic comes up.

Well, you do have a point, LS. And you know, it is funny all these people say they are not going to be on a forum because it is negative, but you notice when they get the most activity? Peope love to pretend they don't love a fire or an accident but you notice how many people watch? It is human nature to be curious. As I have said before, if you don't like a particular thread, just stop reading it and if someone bugs you ignore them.

By the way, where is wolf? Has he gone away too? We haven't heard from him in a while.

To prove my point, I just looked at Recent Posts and noticed this thread "Mud slinging" has drawn the most interest with 83 views!
