I would like to know how a building meets the term historic. What is the definition of historic building? How was this definition determined?

It's hard to drive by and see that big old space there. Anybody have an idea what is going in? If it is going to be a building similar to the one just removed, what's the point? What will it be used for?

Yes, it is going to be a building similar to what is there. Last I heard, the design on the front was going to be very close to the existing building. I am going to try to find out some more this morning.

It will be a guest house, a little wider than it was but the front will look very much like it.

Just an update for those of you who don't get up this way. Construction is underway on the site of the old Starlight. This building appears to be set back further from the street than the old one. It has the foundation in and the grounds have been really dug up and flattened. Does anyone know what this building will be? Is it part of another building going up?

Geez - I thought we had a sewer moratorium. Guess it won't have running water?

If you had taken care to do even the most minor reflection, you would have the answer to this question. So, in my mind, the question is rhetorical and meant to be inflammatory. So, now where are you going with this subject?

In other words, DF, the sewer doesn't go up that far. You could have been told without a sarcastic answer though.

And I guess the question as stated wasn't just a tad sarcastic?

Well if you remember UV - Sarah Silk is on tape many many times as saying that regardless of being on the sewer or not ALL properties in town are affected because their shit needs to be dumped someplace and it eventually gets sucked out and dumped the same place everyone elses does stating all sorts of reasons why the shit suckers couldn't go to Franklin.
Of course this was one more politician trying to sell their plan to the American public based on the "fear and consume" methodology.
Furthermore, I don't know where the sewer ends. I believe it ends at the high-school on S. Main but I don't know where it ends on No. Main.
Plus, I also understand fellow Auctioneer Paul McInnis of Hampton, NH owns approx. 40 acres on Waumbeck Road which he can't develop because of the sewer moratorium. He was another one of those folks, like me, who was shut down right at the beginning and told we couldn't even increase the sewer load 1 gallon.

DF, the sewer moratorium does not impact properties that are not on the sewer. For properties on the sewer, they can be rebuilt, etc if they are existing. You can not increase the use though beyond what was currently there, until the ban is lifted.

I understand this perfectly well.
From my understanding, Paul McInnis proposed his own septic system on Waumbeck and was turned down.
My point is that Sarah Silk is seen repeatedly on tape telling people differently to sell her snow guns which were a complete waste of taxpayers time and money and convince the people they could take Quinby's property for a couple of hundred thousand instead of the million + they actually ended up having to spend. Fear and consume. Fear and consume.
Yes, it's water over the damn. BUT it goes to show that Sarah needs to go!
What happened to those snow guns anyways?

I don't where your "facts" are coming from but my guess is that, since town water extends up to that corner, the property couldn't be developed because of the water moratorium, not the sewer moratorium.
So who are you in favor of voting for in SS's and DD's place?
