Re:Republican VP - Hippocrite Palin of Alaska 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Sarah Palin avoided all the Sunday morning talk shows last week, a right of passage for all politicians, and rushed back to Alaska with republican operatives to study for her arranged interview with Charlie Gibson. When Gibson asked her about the Bush Doctrine she had no idea what he was talking about and gave stock rehearsed answers to most of his questions. She knows a lot about Russia though because she can see it from one of the Alaska islands so that should make us feel good. She has a lot of "executive" experience as governor even though she has done most of her governing from her home town. I feel like I'm watching an episode of Commander-in-Chief with Geena Davis. I'm amazed that Palin may just be an old heartbeat away from the presidency!

Hey Poppa - Did you notice that not only did she not know what the Bush Doctrine was but did you notice she also wouldn't rule out war with Russia? UGGGG!!!!!!!!!
We certainly don't need more wars.

I find it incredible she is a gun touting hunter!!! Any person who is a member of the NRA should have been taught traditional gun safety that it is never ok to point a gun at another person. That's the number 1 rule they teach you as kids. I know I learned it loud and clear and also passed it on to my kids.

Hey Wildman - my only fellow free thinking poster - did you notice Mitt's speech at the RNC opened with a line about the Eastern Elite? Who the hell is he talking about - himself?

He must have been talking about himself.

I did not watch either of the conventions because they are about as interesting as watching grass grow or watching golf on TV.

I don't know what the "Bush Doctrine" is.

Do you know what the "Clinton* Doctrine" is?

Your sentence misrepresents: NATO would protect any of its members against aggression.

Since when has Palin pointed a gun at another person?

You've been dipping into the Dim Kool-Aid again?

Think Kerry, Edwards, Gore, and Kennedy.

Some call them "Limousine Liberals"—spending our money instead of theirs on their pet projects.

McCain would be fired if he was a Russian government official, and here is why that is:

Russian leader Medvedev, warned government officials that inability to acquire 21st century skills could cost them their jobs.
Medvedev stated: "An official who does not have elementary computer skills cannot work effectively, that means he has to look for another job," Medvedev said. "Learn or leave!"

How can a potential leader (McCain) of the most powerful country in the world not have at least basic computer skills. What am I thinking of??? he will have Palin as his secretary to do the computer work. It all makes sense now as to why he picked a woman, "her secretarial and computer skills".

Hey Sarah Honey, check my e-mail and bring me some coffee!! Please put 6 cubes of sugar in it, but don't stir it, I don't like it sweet!

Re McCain:
Lucky for us AND McCain that he's not Russian I guess.
The Constitution gets quoted here on this forum a lot. Is there something about computer skills in our Constitution?

No there isn't but, unfortunately, there is also nothing in the Constitution requiring common sense or prohibiting lies.

Even the moderator on Fox News said he isn't sure what the Bush doctrine is! (Britt Hume?)

She is a very smart lady! Charlie tried to trip her up, if it was Obama it would have been a much softer interview.

Oh, but she does!

ABC editors removed many of her remarks to make it appear that she didn't know what she was talking about. (And Gibson, like Obama does when ad-libbing, was receiving advice by means of his earpiece).

Senator Thompson didn't get many interviews because he insisted on his own cameraman filming the interview.

Sarah took her chances and apparently did pretty well in spite of the editing. (You may have noticed the jumpiness in the broadcast).

"...The sections edited out by ABC News are in bold. The first edit shows Palin responding about meeting with foreign leaders but this was actually in response to a question Gibson asked several questions earlier...:"

Re:Republican VP - Palin of Alaska 2 Months ago
Today the talk shows are talking about if it was true about Sarah and McCain's differences. They are saying it may be campaign worker's who are bitter and are starting stories.
Also comparing the Africa thing and Obama saying there are 57 states. They are saying they can all make mistakes talking as much as they do. I know I sure would!

Earlier this year, McCain said the winning campaign will receive rave reviews on well it was run and how disciplined it was. He said the losing campaign will be bashed for being awful, undisciplined and and unable to stay on message and the blame game would begin.

I recall a similar theme of articles after Hillary lost the nomination. The 2010 and 2012 elections have started. The McCain campaign people are jockeying for jobs. Also possible candidates in 2012 are starting to lay the groundwork for campaigns and knocking down Palin may be in their best interest.

I read somewhere that Mitt's "people" were responsible for the bad press that Ms. Palin received. He is paving the way to 2012 I guess. Politics as usual.

I think it's difficult to tell who was responsible. But give Sarah Palin credit for one thing: She's got balls. What woman would take on that kind of a challenge?

I think she deserves credit for what she did and she was likely the right person at the wrong time. Women will someday run this country and I'm sure they will be very good at it.

Holey moley Wildone - that comment was probably the mellowest statement that has come out of your mouth in a long, long time. What happened to you?
