Well, most of France decided to link to us yesterday, along with the NY Times, and many many others. Our host could not handle the traffic, so they suspended our account. Right now the website is on a temporary server, and will hopefully be back up and running fully in the next day or so. The "visitors yesterday" shows only 12,000 however the number was probably 10 times that (due to the fact no one could get to the website). MANY features of the website are still broken!

The ISP shut down not only our website, but our email capabilities as well. If anyone tried to email me, please try again!
Please be patient while we rebuild the site, and get all the areas functioning again.

The fish seem to enjoy the strong current coming out of Back Bay into Wolfeboro Bay due to the recent rains. Fishermen have reported catching many large salmon and bass off the Town docks.
This is good news for the Winni Fishing Derby this weekend. Prizes for the derby include a 2006 Lund 1775 Classic Sport boat for the Largest Lake Salmon.
The high waters may be good for fishing but is not so good for the Smith River Canoe Race scheduled for Saturday May 20th. This year the race will be restricted to Lake Wentworth. Read more about the race at The Lake Wentworth Association website.

A local company Agentmaster of Wolfeboro, NH has been awarded first place for creating the "Best NH Real Estate Website For 2006" at the NH Internet Awards Competition held on March 8th, 2006.
The website they built, beangroup.com, edged out hundreds of other entries. Judges comments were... Ideal combination of search functionality, related content, and clean, well organized design.
Eric Nelson, CEO of Agentmaster, the Wolfeboro, NH design firm responsible for building beangroup.com, called the win "a recognition of the hard work our team put into making the site super simple to use. We've made searching and viewing over 17,000 properties easy and maybe even a little fun. Thanks to Andrew Hopper, Ralph Hansell and Kurt Milligan for all their excellent work!"
The New Hampshire Internet Awards (NHIA) is an annual celebration of the talent and creativity of New Hampshire web designers. All sites are judged by out-of-state Web designers over a one-month period.

Rudy Giuliani was downtown today, shaking hands, and
scooping ice cream at the Bailey Bubble. Traffic was brought
to a halt on Railroad Ave for a while as a large crowd gathered
to see the 2008 Presidential Candidate.
Also, Stay tuned for more information on the "Président de la République française"
(The President of France) Nicolas Sarkozy - as he is due in town in a few days for a two week stay in Wolfeboro.
